Description
When outrageously wealthy video store magnate Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy), his soap-star wife Moira (Catherine O'Hara) and their two twentysomething children–hipster gallerist David (Dan Levy) and career socialite Alexis (Annie Murphy)–suddenly find themselves broke, they have no choice but to move to a small backwoods town Johnny once bought as a joke. With their pampered lives a memory, they must face their humiliating hardship and figure out what it means to be a family, all within the unfamiliar environs of Schitt’s Creek, their new home.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how well the side characters were written specially Roland and Jocelyn, Moira and Jocelyn could've easily been rivals but instead she was warm welcoming and she put up with moira's extravagant personality and they eventually became friends and I just love it . There was no unnecessary drama or toxicity between the characters . The show was simply perfect

RIP Catherine O’Hara who blessed us with so much joy in this role. No one had the creative chops to make this character like she did. Like so many, this show found me during the pandemic when I desperately needed laughter. Moira Rose stands as a cultural staple of comedic genius and Catherine O’Hara will be deeply missed.

Genuinely befuddled, flummoxed and bewildered (IS THAT RIGHT MOIRA?) that there was actually not a single giggle while 'Danny Boy' was being sung like that. I would have been thrown off that set so damn quick

Eugene's facial expressions while Catherine is singing Danny Boy is the single greatest thing to come from this series, only just beating Moira's wine commercial. I watch both of them a lot more than I probably should.
